note on the breed:
sea gryphons are a very proud breed and come from noble lineage. when the time of gryphons was at its highest point, the sea gryphons were the ones who were second in command along with the sky gryphons. they both helped serve the highest breed of gryphons, the imperials. (thay are only a legend now, for they vanished from the face of the earth long ago. so the sea gryphons live over open waters and near beaches mostly, but during the summer solstice, they go out with the sky gryphons and fly above the waters for days straight.

Size:
the sea gryphons are one of the smaller breeds of gryphons. at the head they are about seven feet, and they are about ten feet long, not counting their extremely long tail. their wingspan is usually at least two times as they are long. but, shira comes from a lineage where they would pride in the length of their wings. so hers are about four times as she is long. sea gryphons are made with small frames and long wings so it will be easier to glide and stay within the air. for over the sea there are very dangerous updrafts and unexpected waves.

since gryphons are made from two elements, earth and air, they can manipulate one of these elements. shira is able to manipulate earth by movement, not thought.
